People ask me why I'm taking part in Lent if I'm not Catholic. "Why give up something if you don't have to?"
Well, because Facebook sucks up too much of my time. I'm a little addicted and I could be doing so many better things with that time I spend on a silly social network site daily. Like apply for scholarships. Do devotionals. Or help a very non-Christian friend of mine plan Sunday School classes for little children she does not care about.
Yeah, life without Facebook is pretty okay thus far.
Why give up something if you don't have to? Because a life with Christ is compiled and created by sacrifice. Sacrifice is what makes our heart tested, tried and true.
